CRAFT! is a programme in which we view craft as a relevant method for questioning and challenging the time in which we live and as a tool for critical investigation of, and through, making and materialisation.

The programme is characterised by a social engagement anchored in the understanding that craft can exist between and beyond traditional boundaries. The professor in crafts towards ceramics and/or glass is in charge of the development of the field of crafts towards ceramics and glass.

The position places a great emphasis on work within the master’s programme CRAFT! which started in 2014 and is a two-year international programme. The work with CRAFT! involves close collaborations with the professors and senior lecturers from the other specialisations within crafts. Ceramics and glass currently have an adjunct professor, two senior lecturers and three adjuncts, as well as visiting lecturers.

Assignments
The assignments include development of the field (crafts towards ceramics and/ or glass), admissions, supervision and examination of students, as well as participation in the overall work of Konstfack, such as being chair/member/deputy member of decision-making bodies or a representative in various working groups.

The position
The position encompasses 70 per cent of a full-time post for no longer than five years, with the possibility of renewal for a maximum of another five years.
