Alessi is constantly looking for the most advanced expressions of international creativity in order to fulfill people's dreams, translating into industrial production the company vocation towards Design Excellence.
On this journey lies "Alessi in Love", a metaproject in search of new inspirations, new directions and new ways of interacting with a love gift, given to celebrate a special moment or to declare your feelings to a loved one.
The creative process will involve designers and emergent talents from all over the world through the online contest organized on the Desall.com platform.

Alessi collection
Description
Alessi in Love is the metaproject organized in collaboration with LPWK DESIGN STUDIO, set up by Laura Polinoro. Researcher, creative and founder of Centro Studi Alessi since 1990, now she has created her own line of accessories and organizes as art director of LPWK DESIGN STUDIO international workshops devoted to the creation of new objects, overcoming the constraints imposed by traditional ways of designing. The constant research for new languages and themes has led LPWK to meet the innovative reality of H-Farm and to rely on Desall's co-creation service.

Theme
The metaproject is directed to find new ways of considering the love gift, related to the celebration of signifcant moments or the expression of your own feelings.
Therefore the starting point is the man and no longer the object, meant as a product. The focus is on the creation of emotional objects, overcoming the industrial and anonymous production logic. For this reason, a good tip to start with is considering all the unforgettable events linked to the universal feeling of love: not only those towards the partner but also the fondness for a friend or the respect for a colleague.
Now it's your turn to translate feelings into reality, coming up with small objects designed to be given. Last but not least pay attention that love is an universal feeling, but how people express it is personal and may change over time. A letter or a jewel are only examples of ways to express this unique and deep feeling.

Guidelines
Product typology: small bijoux, wedding favors, accessories for the person or for home; Situations: the places and the occasions for the expression of feelings from engagements to wedding Anniversaries, from the birth of a baby to the demonstration of a friendship, from acknowledgment of a professional relationship to that of a community. Moreover the object could be an original idea for a Christmas gift.
Materials: steel, aluminium, plastic, blown glass; Technological sources: deep-drawing, investment casting, punching, embossing, laser cutting, sandblasting.

The company
Alessi is a family business established in 1921 in Omegna, on the side of Lake Orta, in Northern Italy.
Started as a workshop for the manufacturing of brass and German silver sheets, in its almost centuries-old history Alessi has evolved into being recognized as one of the "Italian Design Factories", able to apply the abilities it achieved in this _eld to several product typologies. Alessi, an internationally oriented and change ready company, has at the same time deep roots in the cultural traditions of its territory, towards which it feels consciously obliged. Still today, in fact, Alessi is a byword for machine-aided handicraft. Its mission is to translate into the industrial production talent in Design Excellence, that is the pursuance of cultural, aesthetic, executive and functional qualities. Eligibility and submission
Participation is free of charge and is open to designers and creative talents of any nationality and age. Participants can choose to present one or more projects, but only projects published on the web site www.desall.com via the upload page devoted to Alessi in Love will be accepted.

Awards
The selection of the winner of Alessi in Love will be the result of an unquestionable evaluation of a selected jury headed by Alberto Alessi. It will take into account originality, feasibility and consistency to the brief. The best proposals will grant access to the international workshop, where designers will cooperate with a qualified team for the development of the new Alessi collection.
