Graduation 2013 - School of Design Bornholm

Discover what's happening on the young Danish crafts scene in 2013 when this year's graduates from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Design, Bornholm invites you to view this year's graduation projects at Bornholm Art Museum on 22 June.
From 22 June, you have the chance to gain an insight into how Scandinavian glass and ceramic design is expressed in Denmark in the year 2013. In June, the two graduating classes from the glass and ceramics specialities at the School of Design, Bornholm have completed three years of studies. They are now exhibiting the results in the EXIT exhibition at Bornholm Art Museum in June and through to August when the exhibition will travel to places including Designer Zoo in Copenhagen and subsequently, Skagen Odde Nature Centre.
This year's graduation projects show sensuous designs of body parts, sculptural stories and glass and ceramics that surprise due to their design and fine details. The final expression shows great variety and scope, spanning from everyday utility products to more experimental works. All of a high quality.
The graduation projects are the result of three years' dialogue between materials, techniques and very personal expressions. The materials, the experiments and the techniques have been thoroughly challenged in the reflective process, as have the students themselves.

At the exhibition, the graduates generously share the knowledge and competences they have acquired, and the EXIT exhibition provides a good insight into how students work with Scandinavian design and crafts at the School of Design's crafts programme on Bornholm.
