The Center for Researches and Training in Glassworks (Cerfav) based in Vannes-le-Châtel - Lorraine, France is glad to announce the opening of his new digital studio: a Fablab (Fabrication laboratory) dedicated to a new generation of crafters dealing with glassworks and new technologies. This new space is linked with the international fablabs network, ruled by Center for Beats and Atoms at MIT-Boston (USA). At the Glass Fablab, you can create computer aided molds for blowing or casting glass, sand-blasting masks out of computer, rendering of glass projects.

You might find here a set of rapid prototyping tools that you'll be able to manage yourself and that can help you to jump over the gate of your dreams to material realism. It's open for designers, artists, craftmen that want to set the future now. 3D design, scan, reshape, 3D print, laser-cut, vynil-cut or mill what you want...
In the pool of fablabs, Cerfav's one, the Glass Fablab is set to be useful for glassworkers in terms of researches and editing. This specialisation makes it single. You can be connected with on fablab@cerfav.fr.
Feel free to ask us all what you want to know on glass at the age of 3d modeling and 3d printing.
