Art Glass Weekend
28/1/2016-31/1/2016

Longboat Key Center for the Arts
A Division of Ringling College of Art and Design
Longboat Key Center for the Arts (LBKCA) is a division of Ringling College that specializes in bringing top quality education, exhibitions, programs, and events to the community of Longboat Key and beyond. Nestled on the north end of picturesque Longboat Key, LBKCA offers inspired exhibitions from regionally, nationally, and internationally recognized artists, along with visiting artist lectures, demos, and studio classes to create a platform for cultural conversation and community gathering.
Last year in American Art Collector magazine, Sarasota was identified as the “New Art Glass Mecca” due to the collections, museums, art centers, galleries, and the growing number of glass artists living in the region. Contemporary Glass has become an exciting focus along the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Longboat Key Center for the Arts, a division of Ringling College, will be hosting a contemporary art glass weekend for art glass enthusiasts, collectors, and artists. This Art Glass Weekend marks our second year in collaboration with the Habatat Galleries from Royal Oaks, MI.
