Visit our annual Graduation Show on 6-10 July and discover tomorrow's upcoming artists. Students of the departments Inter-Architecture, designLAB, Graphic Design, Fashion, Jewellery, TXT (Textile), Image & Language, Fine Arts, Photography, Glass, Ceramics, VAV (Moving Image) and DOGtime present their graduation work(s) in a five day exhibition with presentations, screenings, performances and events.

The Glass department is a material-based study, which encourages the students to explore the limits of the glass as a medium. In the tradition of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie we follow a strong conceptual approach.

As well as the typical working process we are interested in experimentation. The qualities and possibilities that glass offers inevitably create connections with other materials and media. As can be seen in Graduation Show 2016, graduates demonstrate a wide variety of works. Through installations, sculptures, paintings and videos all in some way related to glass, the students highlight this remarkable material and the role it has to play in contemporary art.
