To prepare the material for each cup, the molten glass is shaped by hand before being blown into a mold by master glass artisans. Each glass is then annealed overnight (a process which cools the glass slowly to relieve material stresses), cut, and polished by hand.
 
“We can see how the Saturn Glass could be mistaken for novelty, but when you actually hold the glass in your hands and start using it, the flash of the tipping and spinning quickly fades into the background.” says Chris.  “What you’re left with is a glass that has been imbued with the extreme care and precision that went its making and subconsciously draws you to use it over any other.  We have customers who tell us that it is literally the only wine glass they ever use.  Weeks, maybe even months later, when you really do accidentally knock it over, the spill stopping will save you.  It becomes an unconscious feature.  Only there when you really need it.”
