A comprehensive introduction into the methods and variety of creative potential of sculptural ceramics. The course covers studio practice, clay types, basic core techniques of hand building for sculpture: coiling, pinching, slab building and surface decoration.
 
Mass Installation/ Large Scale Sculptural Ceramics Masterclass

This course offers students an exciting and unusual opportunity to consider making large scale art works; either by constructing them in many parts/sections and attaching to an armature, or for those wishing to make large sculptures in one piece As the intent of this course is to produce larger scale work, there will be an additional firing fee that needs to be accommodated. For those making one large piece, a specific clay will be required that can sustain the weight of the sculpture.
