*Silvia Levenson was born in Buenos Aires, and during the “disappearances” of the Dirty War, she immigrated to Italy, where she has become a professional artist, teacher, and an important mentor to her students. Themes surrounding social and political issues inform her work, which is very often personal; she uses art as a vehicle to express her sometimes-painful past, and to try to come to terms with some of society´s murky histories. She questions how, in our present moment, we are still able to forge dark - and very often - regrettable experiences.
The 2017 workshops have been made possible by the generous donations sent to us from all over the globe!
