PITTSBURGH GLASS CENTER OFFERS ITS FIRST LINE OF SIGNATURE GLASSWARE

Pittsburgh Glass Center (PGC) offers its first line of signature glassware called Penn+Fairmount. The 2017 collection created by Pittsburgh based glass artist Jason Forck includes intricately crafted glassware with a sleek, modern design. Using traditional Venetian techniques, Forck and his team created two silhouettes that are represented in the collection. The glassware is available as a pitcher, cup and vase in six translucent hues. This collection is the first of many annual collections by Pittsburgh Glass Center.  Each collection will feature a different glass artist.

INFLATE
Blowing air into a moving form is complicated. You have to get it just right. If there is too much air, it can be wonky; too little and it might cave in. A mastery of technique and a good understanding of gravity give us Inflate.
Cup: $30  Vase: $90  Pitcher: $110

CINCH
A molten material does not want to be rigid, straight and precise. It wants to move and be fluid. It takes coaxing and control to create glass that is geometrical with angles and a modern feel like Cinch.
Cup: $30  Vase: $90  Pitcher: $110
