PILCHUCK GLASS SCHOOL
OPEN HOUSE
On July 14, 2013, Pilchuck Glass School will open its private Stanwood campus for an exclusive Pilchuck summer experience. Founded in 1971 by Dale Chihuly and Anne and John Hauberg, the school offers an in-depth education in glass and attracts artists from all over the world. The Pilchuck Open House provides the general public with a once-a-year opportunity to visit the campus and see inside the exciting world of glass making. Hot glass demonstrations will take place throughout the day and visitors can make their own glass. Off the beaten path tour highlights include the Chihuly Cabin, Buster Simpson’s tree house and the Trojan Horse, ending at Inspiration Point with a breathtaking view of Puget Sound. Docent led tours are also available. Art work is for sale at the Pilchuck Gallery. Enjoy this family-friendly event with live music and food concessions.
