A special section will be dedicated to the young Slovenian artist Andrej Koruza and his mosaic in motion, included in the Open MAR - Open Museum - Signals from the Limit exhibition. The Franciscan Cloisters will also host Attraversare il Tempo (Travelling through time), an exhibition prepared by Enzo Tinarelli.
The tribute to the Bulgarian master Iliya Iliev at Classense Library aims at emphasizing the connections between Italy and Bulgaria, both candidates for European Capital of Culture in 2019. Moreover, the Contemporary Vision of Alexandrian Mosaic provides an overview on the contemporary art production of the mosaic school in Alexandria.
RavennaMosaico is an international biennial event that represents an opportunity to welcome in the city artists and visitors from all over the world. It is also a project of a candidate city for European Capital of Culture, featuring a number of exhibitions, installations, conferences and workshops that will turn Ravenna into the protagonist of the contemporary mosaic scene.
All exhibition openings are scheduled for Saturday, 12 October. Galleries and artists will give their contribution to the celebrations for contemporary mosaics by opening their spaces, studios and laboratories. http://www.ravennamosaico.it/
