This catalogue accompanies the exposition with the same name from 4/4/2015-13/9/2015 in the GlazenHuis, Lommel, Belgium.
After the forewords by Louis Vanvelthoven, chairman Private Foundation Charlotte van der Seijs, and Véronique Caerts, alderman for the GlazenHuis, Sven Gatz, the Minister for Culture, Youth, Media and Brussels gives a short sketch of the glass art situation in Belgium and the importance of the Glass Prize and its exposition.
This edition's theme THE PROCESS is explained in the essay The Universality of the Process by Dan Holsbeek, art critic and docent Art & Design History. The creative process, creating process, production process, physical and chemical processes, processing and the artwork as a result are described.
In the chapter Processed glass, Jeroen Maes and Ilse van Roy - organization International Glass Prize 2015 - explain the theme and the prize followed by the chapter Members of the jury and the pages on the 3 winners of the money prize - Karen Vermeren, Simsa Cho, and Jens Gussek - and 2 winners of the residency prize - Rui Sasaki and Szosz C. Matthew.

A couple of photos of the exposition overview close the catalogue. With good photos by Kristof Vrancken, and good translation by Ingrid Bongers this well-designed book on matte paper makes you curious how the glass plays its shiny role in the show.
One should have and hold this catalogue as an important time capsule to understand the title and to read the stories of the artists.
