James Benn
James Benn was born in London in 1952. He is a graduate of Oxford University, where he studied modern languages. In a former existence, he practised as a lawyer in England, after which he spend 10 years in Luxembourg working as a translator in the European Court of Justice. He now lives in Brussels, where he works as a lawyer-linguist in the European Parliament, trying to make EU legislation less incomprehensible and more user-friendly - a Sisyphean task. He has translated numerous articles and catalogues on glass art.
