Dan Mølgaard states:
”It is an ambitious and exciting task, which has been entrusted to me, and I am looking forward to the challenges of the new job. In 2011 the museum celebrated its 25th anniversary, which is a young age in the museum world. In spite of this, the museum has succeeded in achieving a strong position in Denmark and abroad, positioning itself as a landmark within the field of contemporary glass. This calls for respect and shows a precise and engaged effort, which I hope to continue .”
"Dan Mølgaard has a good knowledge of art and management. He has good experience with the development of events and activities and is also used to working on a practical level – precisely the qualities we are looking for, which can contribute to ensuring the ongoing development of Glasmuseet", states chairman of the museum’s board, Henning Kovsted.
Dan Mølgaard has succeeded Dagmar Brendstrup, who decided to resign from her job on 1st April in order to seek new challenges. During her time as director for Glasmuseet Ebeltoft, she has organized a number of acknowledged and popular exhibitions and she has redefined the presentation of glass for visitors among others through the establishment of a new digital learning space, which opened in 2011.
