AGNIESZKA LESNIAK

“
The exhibition will be the result of a continuous process of finding the ideal spatial form, which is precisely the starting point of the line that. Glass sculptures of the artist, reminiscent of architectural works, monumental, sharply defined in space and yet beyond materiality.
In my artistic search I strive to obtain some kind of order, ideal of purity of lines and lightness of a form. Combinations of contrast: immaterial transparency and material colour of glass is the basis for my creation of objects. Hence I visualise “geo-metric” concepts. ”Geo” means earth, matter, and “metry” is a dimension, spaciousness. I create objects that do not exist in the audience’s perception, I am an architect of intentional space.

“
My objects are created from the inspiration of architecture. I work with the matter of building up tension and contrast. Geometric shapes reflect industrial space. Every line has it’s own meaning, every angle, bevel, direction and perspective as well. Combination of colour, transparency and light define materiality and non- materiality of surrounding world.
The idea- or project – determines my action. I’m striving for an ideal, which is made just by myself. Whit passion I count down following gradations of the matt surface, I put them together and then, in the end, during polishing, I can see their designed interior.
